The Port Washington Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1819 has a rich history dating back to the 1930s. Now, the organization has reinvigorated its mission to become a trusted resource and welcoming community for veterans of all ages.

What truly sets the Port Washington VFW apart is its commitment to one-on-one guidance for all military veterans. Veterans receive personalized assistance navigating the Veterans Administration’s benefits and health care options through the post’s dedicated Service Officer.

The VFW Port Washington offers a unique event space perfect for meetings, parties and gatherings of all kinds. Proceeds from rentals benefit the VFW’s veteran members and veteran organizations.

Upcoming Public Events

In remembrance of our Veterans who have given their lives for our Country, residents are asked to attend the Port Washington Memorial Day Parade and stop by the VFW table at the Band Shell to express your gratitude to our veterans. There, VFW Buddy Poppies will be freely distributed there and donations are always welcome. Please remember that the proceeds from your donations go directly from our post to organizations that support our Veterans.
